ITALIAN Regions of Vocationist Fathers	Laterza – Taranto – The Community was officially opened on Saturday October 14 th 2006. The community is known as Holy Spirit community. At the ceremony of inauguration were present Fr. Gerneral Luis Captuo,S.D.V., Rev. Fr. Calogero Brancato, S.D.V.,General Assistant of Parishes and Vocationaries, Rev. Fr. Ciro Saranataro, S.D.V., Asssitant General for formation, Rev. Fr. Ernest d’ alessio , representative of Fr. General for the region of Pugilia, Rev. Fr. Decio Tucci, S.D.V., Pastor of St. Andrews Parish in Conversano, Rev. Fr. Mario Cavellera, S.D.V., Pastor of St. Francis Parish in Acquivivia delle fonti (barry). His Excellency bishop Pietro Fragnelli, Bishop of Castellaneta presided the ceremony of inauguration of the new community and installation of Fr. Luige Nutzo, S.D.V. as the new pastor of the Assumption Church and Rev. Luicius Awuzie, S.D.V. as the associate pastor, Bro. Gaetano Morreale, S.D.V. as the cooperator. In his homily, the bishop stressed the charisma of religious in General and of the Vocationist Father particular. In his remarks, Fr. General stressed that three fold mission of the new community. 1) To provide pastoral care to the faithful of the Assumption parish – and Holy Spirit Church. 2) Provide Spiritual Assistance for the diocesan priests in the area. 3) Establish a center of Discernment of Vocations.
